Chad Cobain & Earnie Bailey | Kurt Cobain's Sky-Stang I | At Arlyn Studios in Austin, Texas

Connected by music and family - Chad Cobain, Kurt Cobain's brother, and Earnie Bailey, Kurt's guitar tech come together at Arlyn Studios in Austin, Texas during the first weekend of ACL to discuss one of Kurt's favorite guitars, the Fender Mustang known as "Sky-Stang I", featured in our "Played, Worn, & Torn: Rock ‘N’ Roll Iconic Guitars And Memorabilia" auction. The guitar is owned by Chad Cobain and has been on loan to Seattle’s MoPOP (then known as The Experience Music Project) since 2007, where it went on display in 2009. It was also part of the Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses exhibit which opened in 2011, and traveled with that exhibit to Brazil for six months in 2017, then returned to MoPOP where it has been on display until September 2023. Earnie Bailey is a Southern California native, currently residing, designing and building guitars in the Pacific Northwest. He has a rich history in repair and restoration with an impressive client list, and has worked as a pro touring guitar technician for Nirvana, Foo Fighters and was most recently on tour with the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. Watch today and experience this intimate look at a guitar beloved by rock legend, Kurt Cobain. Official link to bid on the Sky-Stang I is below. Bid At: https://www.julienslive.com/lot-detai...
