The mantra is given a fresh melodic interpretation, together with original lyric verses that give depth and context to the healing intentions of the mantra. Bhaisajyaguru is known as the Blue Buddha, his skin is lapis lazuli blue - the archetypal colour of healing. In his left hand he holds a bowl of healing nectar, and in his right a medicine plant. As such he is considered a guardian spirit for all those on the plant spirit medicine path. His mantra is a profound prayer for the release of suffering in all sentient beings. “I started the recording process for this track with a simple piano part, and to that was added a beautiful string quartet arrangement composed by Misha Mullov-Abbado, and the mellifluous bass tones of Antonio Moscato.
