🌴We have been living at Vintage Food Farm on our tropical homestead for three years! We left our expensive, exhausting hustle & bustle life in the big city to be more self-sufficient in beautiful, tropical, Far North Queensland, Australia. 🦘We have a 3.2 acre block, 40 mins from Cairns, an old 1980's house, big shed, rainwater tanks, bore water and it changed our lives! 🐔We raise chickens for farm fresh (super) eggs🥚, guinea fowl, grow tropical herbs, vegetables and fruit trees to produce a heap of yummy, fresh, healthy food from our property. 🍈🍉🍊🍋🍌🍍🥭🥑🍠🫛🥜🍅🍆🥔🥕🫑🥒 We knew absolutely nothing about producing our own food and living this life, so we just started and learnt what we needed to along the way. What's good ✅ What's bad❌ 😮See before and after 📸 🌳We will show you a very special part of the block you have never seen before and take you to our local store/pub/petrol station 😁 🌀Far North Queensland has had a tough time in the wake of X Tropical Cyclone Jasper which caused a lot of rain and flood damage. The region received up to 2 meters of rain over a week. Many people had significant damage to their homes and businesses. ⛈️The rain only took its toll on our garden and we lost some trees and a lot of the veggie garden.
