It comes with a BS6-compliant 155cc single-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Actuation. The engine produces 18.6PS and 14.1Nm, which is 0.7PS and 0.6Nm less than the BS4-compliant bike. However, Yamaha has offset the lack in performance with a few tangible features such as a side stand engine kill feature, radial tubeless rear tyre and dual horn setup. Apart from these, the bike remains unchanged. It continues the same telescopic fork and monoshock setup for suspension. Brakes include a 282mm front and a 220mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS as standard. The blue colour variant also gets blue alloy wheels instead of black units with blue rim stickers.
