In this video, we will hear about the incredible story of the Tiger Reintroducion Project of Panna Tiger Reserve. By 2009, the number of tigers in Panna had dwindled to zero. After great and diligent efforts by Team Panna,led by Mr. Rangaiah Sreenivasa Murthy, the tiger population started to grow. Now, there are over 80 tigers in Panna Tiger Reserve. Our guide, Mr. Mahesh Pd Omre, beautifully explained to us the entire story of the reintroduction process. We want to share this with the people to make them aware of the hardwork which team Panna had to put in to restore the toger population. The field director of team Panna was Mr. Rangaiah Sreenivasa Murthy. His contributions to Panna are innumerable. He is the one who provided us with the pictures of the different tigers - T1, T1 and cubs, T2, T3, T4 and T5, T4's cubs. We are sincerely grateful to him for providing us with such prized pictures.
