Episode 47 Short video showing why its probably better to change all the timing gear rather than just the secondary timing chain tensioners particularly on the AJ26 and AJ27 engines. John Clemente's XK8 has a knock / rattle on the timing chains even after having the metal secondary timing chains fitted. Watch his videos showing the issue, very interesting. Is it chain wear or primary tensioner failure? Johns going to find out shortly. Either way its a lesson for all of us. If you want to keep the car long term, best to change all the timing gear and not just the secondary tensioners.
