Privately owned scooters are STILL illegal in the UK. And the Police are cracking down on anybody who rides them... unless they're renting them from government approved companies. Something seems fishy, doesn't it? We believe that scooters can help people get to work in a way that's more affordable, that's better for the environment, and in a way that's safer. Out of 2 million rides in the scooter rental trials, there were 0 deaths. Yet people seem to claim scooters are unsafe. What's more - many young women we speak to feel safer riding these home when it's dark, rather than walking or taking public transport.
