Bhagsunag waterfall is located in Bhagsu village, 2 kms from McLeodganj, behind the Bhagsu temple, in the district of Dharmasala, state of Himachal Pradesh. The waterfall is 7112 feet (2165 meters) in height. The distance from Pathankot to McLeod Ganj is 88 km and is a 3-hour journey to the valley of the waterfall .The nearest airport is Gaggal, which is 15 kilometers from Dharamshala. The nearest narrow gauge railway station is in Kangra and Nagrota, which is 20 kms. from Dharamsala. The nearest broad gauge station is at Pathankot, which is 85 kilometers away. Passengers can hire taxis or cabs from outside the railway station to reach the destination.
