Brenda goes to see Jagger in his room. She apologizes for how she treated him earlier and explains that she knows Ray molested Karen as a little girl. Brenda wonders two things: if Jagger's gonna help Karen and if he's still in love with her. He says it's complicated. She wants to know where they stand and Jagger says maybe she should tell him. Brenda thinks they have a good thing going and shouldn't throw it away. She advises him to stop constantly running to Karen's rescue all the time. Jagger asks her if she's sure. She says all she knows is that they're together and nothing ever felt more right. They fall back onto the bed to make love.
