First, ensure that the orientation of the strap is correct. You wouldn't want to go through all the trouble to install the strap just to realise that it is installed the other way. To make sure that the lugs are not scratched, i pasted tape around the lugs at the area most likely to have contact with the strap. Using your right hard, press down on the watch to ensure that the watch does not move when installing. Then align the strap on top of the watch. With the tool at 90 degree to the surface, compress the springbar and move the strap onto the watch. Repeat the same step on the other side.
