Join curators as they discuss personal and professional outlooks regarding museum collections and acquisitions, particularly the accountability and responsibility required to achieve diverse, inclusive, and equitable presentations and narratives. Together the panel investigates priorities, hopes and interests for the field’s prospects, and the changes that need to take place to ensure that the future is a reality. This event was hosted in partnership with the American Association of Art Museum Curators (AAMC). The mission of AAMC is to support and promote the work of museum curators by creating opportunities for networking, collaboration, professional development, and advancement. In support of these aims, the AAMC Foundation seeks to heighten public understanding of the curator’s role in art museums through professional development programs, awards, and grants.
