Testing the output stage of the mic preamp, and a closer look at the negative impedance transformer drive circuit. Update: I was a bit skeptical that the negative impedance converter was doing anything at all, given my inability to find a distortion 'sweet spot' by adjusting R35. By shorting R45 to ground, I confirmed that THD increased by approx 10dB (or a factor of 3) with the NIC disabled, so it's definitely doing SOMETHING good...
