Let’s say you have several sheets in your workbook. You ordered them to your preferred way. You’ve colored Sheet tab and Named your worksheets to your preferred name. Now this is worksheet structure. So, if you lock worksheet structure there will be several protections, you’ll able to give your workbook. 1. You can stop changing your worksheet name 2. Stop people from reordering your worksheets 3. Stop changing color of your worksheet tab 4. Stop users from creating new worksheet 5. Stop users from Copy/Move a worksheet 6. Prevent deleting your worksheet 7. Prevent others from renaming your worksheet 8. Prevent users from Hide/Unhide your worksheet Now you can still edit or change data inside your workbook. You can change worksheet formatting, insert data also you can do everything you want inside your worksheets except the above things. So, protecting worksheet structure helps you to maintain workbook and worksheet level formatting with limited access to other users.
