Dire Straits exploded into the guitar rock world in the late 70s and became a big live act throughout the 80s and early 90s. Chief guitarist, songwriter and singer Mark Knopfler lead the band through its many stages eventually calling it a day after the massive 1992 tour for their last album On Every Street. Knopfler has gone on to record many solo and soundtrack albums but one thing remains, he’s legendary status as a guitar hero. This is a look at the new 2023 live boxset which expands on Alchemy and On The Night and even adds a gig from The Rainbow, London in 1979.
