Multiple World War 2 vehicles travel in convoys and by themselves in the area of Gold Beach, including a parade that enters the British Normandy Memorial. Gold Beach was at the center of British forces landing in Normandy, 80 years ago on June 6th, 1944. Nearby Juno Beach was landed by the Canadians. This anniversary of D-Day marks 80 years since allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy to liberate France and the rest of Europe from the Nazis in World War II. The event commemorates the allied invasion and thanks the veterans who took part, while also remembering the thousands who perished on June 6th, 1944.
