Cleaning a Lava Lamp: How to remove Debris from Mathmos Astro

I have two Mathmos Astro Original Lava Lamps, and both of them contained strange black debris when they arrived. Mathmos said this was "normal", but I wasn't happy with the look, so I decided to try and get it out. Since I could barely find anything online, I made a video of the process that hopefully will help fellow lava lamp owners encountering the same problem. UPDATE: After posting this video on the oozinggoo forum, user ImMelting linked me his process which for some reason I haven't been able to find there before. His method is very similar, major differences are that he uses a pantyhose as a filter, and that he uses a hose to prevent the liquid from splashing when pouring it back in the bottle.
