AL: Table of Contents in Access Report +User Interface for Custom Queries/Reports, QBF, Duane Hookom

Two outstanding presentations by Access legend Duane Hookom filled with clever techniques and lively discussion among experts including Maria Barnes, Adrian Bell, Crystal Long, George Hepworth, Dale Fye, Chris Arnold, Jim Dettman, and Neil Sargent who explains a clever trick to cover up an inevitable dialog box. To make a Table of Contents (TOC) on a report, Duane creates the report twice. The first time is to populate a table with titles and page numbers for the table of contents. The second time shows the table of contents on the report. Duane's second presentation is a useful tool showing a great user interface to create custom queries (Query By Form, QBF) that makes it easy for the user to pick fields, choose sorting and criteria, output to a number of different formats including Excel or a graph in Access. Great use of the classic chart control to quickly change chart types Duane's presentation and databases are available at http://accessusergroups.org/lunch/wp-...
