The Monday Club | TRACE July 2024

TRACE was an immersive, multi-sensory performance that reflects on the different ways of making and experiencing music from the perspectives of people with disabilities. Through touch, listening and reflections we trace new meanings and connections from the sounds around us. Curated by Ria Andriani and featuring music written by and for people with disability, the program includes composers and performers, Georgia Scott, Jennifer Hankin, Tessa Gutierrez, and a very special performance from the Monday Club led by Tony Gorman. They were joined by performers Lamorna Nightingale, Will Hansen and Grace Kim, and audio describer Elias Wilson. This video contains readings of original poetry by The Monday Club's Tony Gorman, and an improvised performance by The Monday Club based around long notes. The Monday Club is Tony Gorman on Alto Clarinet, Boyd on Contrabass Clarinet, Stephen Morley on French Horn, Mary Rapp on Cello and Steve Elphick on Bass.
