This collage didn't go where I expected - full collage process

I worked without any pre-conceptions on this one. Just looking at what pieces I had already cut out and dreaming of how they might go together. As I pieced this togehter, I made internal connections as I went along, my mind casting outward creating a web of ideas. I really love how it turned out. But it's so funny to see how it started and how my thought process evolved. Initially I wanted the ballarina to balance. However, this position never quite felt right to me. So I had to alter my concept as I found new pieces that would work with her. Sorry about the shine from the light. I didn't realize how awful it was until the end.
