The Overturning Moment | LightSpeed Zip Line Trolleys

There is a hidden moment during zip line braking that most people are unaware of - and rightfully so. Your focus is on the rider coming in and not the position of the trolley. But Head Rush Technologies’ engineers have given special consideration to braking because this is a moment of significant wear for most trolleys. As the rider trolley begins braking, the rider’s momentum carries them forward and in front of the trolley. This momentum overwhelms most trolleys and causes the front sheave to lift up while the back of the trolley drags along the line. All of this wear builds up over time and greatly reduces the lifespan of these other trolleys. Head Rush Technologies designed the LightSpeed Micro, EZ Clip and Impact Trolleys to prevent the overturning moment with unique features: forward designs or pivoting designs. The clip-in points on the Micro and the Impact Trolleys are forward of center. This forward design accommodates the rider’s momentum during braking and keeps both sheaves on the cable for less wear. The EZ Clip and the Impact Trolley T-handle accessory both pivot forward with the rider’s momentum as they decelerate. This creates a comfortable braking experience for the rider, eliminates the overturning moment, and keeps both sheaves on the cable. The LightSpeed Trolleys from Head Rush Technologies are designed specifically for zip lining and are engineered for durability. The forward and pivoting designs eliminate excess wear on your equipment by eliminating the overturning moment common in other trolleys. Your equipment will last longer and your riders will have a better experience – what’s not to love?
