Scenic Otis Series 1 Hydraulic Elevators @ Main Street Parking Garage, Downers Grove, IL

Here's a video from late August that I wanted to get uploaded. My mom had a job interview in Downers Grove, so I figured I'd tag along and hang out in downtown a while. I walked a little bit to see if I could find any somewhat interesting elevators, and I found these. These are Otis elevators with Series 1 fixtures, fairly common in my area, so not too exciting, but they are glass, which makes the ride a little bit more exciting. These look to be very late models, judging from the built-in emergency phone buttons on the car panels and the overall good condition. These are quite large for parking garage elevators, with a capacity of 3500 pounds, and they have center-opening doors. All in all, these are some very nice elevators. I noted that they ran very smoothly, and once again, they are in very good cosmetic condition, not common for a parking garage. Maybe the security cameras inside them have been a deterrent for crime and vandalism. Although they are a little dirty, I applaud the city for keeping these elevators in great and safe operating condition.
