If you didn’t discover the damage until you’re home, know that you only have a 4-hour window to file your claim with the airline over the phone. With my experience, JetBlue initially offered me a $100 voucher. I declined the offer as my luggage was expensive. In order for me to receive a reimbursement for my luggage, I need to provide photos of the damage and the original proof of purchase.
