An afternoon on the BNSF Seligman Sub 9-8-24 (HD)

These are the first day of catches from a 5 day long vacation to the Seligman Sub in Northern Arizona. I flew into Phoenix on the morning of the 8th, I was picked up by @CBM-Outdoors and we headed north to the location known as Pica. 0:00 - It was kind of cloudy and we could tell rain was moving in when our first train of the day appeared climbing the hill out of Pica. The train was a lengthy manifest from Barstow, CA to Lubbock, TX 2:56 - The monsoon has really ramped up pounding the control point at Pica with very heavy rain, while it was a light rain at our location, a 15 k ft combo stack train bound for Alliance, TX escapes the storm. 6:30 - A westbound Z train from Alliance, TX approaches a minute after the stack train cleared and heads toward the monsoon. 8:44 - As we were leaving Pica, we heard the dispatcher calling the crew on the 15k, informing them a relief crew would be meeting them at E. Seligman. Chuck and I headed east to an overlook a few miles east of town and captured the train climbing out of Seligman. That concludes the first day of the trip, there will be quite a few more parts coming to complete the trip. Thanks for watching
