DIY Subwoofer Box for Toyota FJ Cruiser

The most complex subwoofer box I have ever built! There are different angle measurements and different panel dimensions in every perspective. Thanks to my trusty little angle setter tool, it helps a lot in cutting complex angles in every plane as fast as humanly possible. I was about to resort in getting the back panel out of fiberglass but I think it just going to costs me extra and just adds more time and in the project. So everything is made of 3/4 and 1/2 sheets of MDF. Sealed every gaps and holes using a very cheap No Nail all purpose adhesive. PROJECT TIMELINE 00:00 UNBOXING THE SUBWOOFER - Infinity Reference 1000s 10" shallow-mount subwoofer to be wired in 2 Ohms. 00:35 MEASURE AND LAYOUT THE BOTTOM PANEL 00:40 WOOD WORKS STARTS HERE - Consist of the usual MDF routing, table saw cutting, plunge router turning the whole nine yards. 01:30 GLUING AND SCREWING ALL THE PANELS TOGETHER 02:30 TEST FIT ON FJ CRUISER 03:05 FILL HOLES AND GAPS WITH NO MORE NAILS ADHESIVE - This process also strengthens the box like a rock! 03:55 CUT HOLES USING PLUNGE ROUTER 04:25 ROUNDING THE EDGES WITH PALM ROUTER 04:45 SPEAKER FLUSH MOUNT RING 04:55 BODY FILLER AND PAINTING THE BOX - There is a readily available coarse textured truck bed liner spray paint in cans. The brand is Samurai which is made in Thailand. The product is very good. Comes in flat top clear coat too in another spray can. 05:55 INSTALL THE BOX! - Since the box is a sealed one, I stuffed it with about a fourth of a kilo of polyfiber fill that is used to stuff pillows and mattresses. Sorry I didn't take any videos when bolting down the subwoofer into the factory strap down hooks. I used steel bolts that securely fasten and holds the box nice and tight. Watch out for the next video if you want to see the full installation and of course the bass testing the beast of a subwoofer! See you!
