Soak the red lobia in water for 8 hours. 2. Take the soaked lobia in a pressure cooker. Add salt, turmeric powder, hing and water. 3. Pressure cook the beans until 4-5 mins on a medium flame. Keep aside. 4. Take oil in a wide kadai, add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, whole spices and chopped onions. 5. Saute the onions for 5 mins on high flame. 6. Once the onions are rich brown in color, add ginger garlic paste and slit green chillies. Saute. 7. Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates. 8. Then add salt, Kashmiri Red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, amchur powder and mix well. 9. Add the cooked lobia along with water. Add some more water and mix. Cover the kadai with a lid and cook the curry for 10 mins. 10. Finally add garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves. 11. Red lobia curry is ready to be served hot with any Indian bread by the side. Red lobia, also called red field peas, are small beans that are reddish-brown in color and taste a bit nutty. They're really healthy because they have lots of protein, fiber, and good stuff for your body. This video is about a simple side dish made with red lobia. This red lobia is cooked in a tomato based gravy with a few aromatic spices added to it. You can have this curry with any mildly flavored rice recipes or any flat bread of your choice.
