Lectric XP 28mph Unlocking + Issues and modifications | eBike

Now that others are receiving their Lectric XP eBikes I'm seeing lots of questions about how to unlock the 28mph speeds as the bike ships locked at a 20mph top speed. In this video I show the steps to unlock 28mph, and I also discuss modifications I have made to the bike along with any issues I've uncovered. Note: anyone unlocking an electric bicycle should make sure their laws allow the unlocked speeds. Many cities regulate the top speed eBikes are allowed to achieve. I've had good luck with the bike with no mechanical issues. However, I do still have random odometer resets - even with the new M5 computer. This is something that also happens on the Aventon Pace500 eBike I have that uses the same computer. If you own a Lectric XP comment and let me know if you've experienced this too. It may be something I'm doing - some series of button presses or a certain sequence that's triggering the reset. It's very frustrating. I've managed to eliminate the previously reported fender clank, install better grips, and added a new tail light for better visibility. Below is a link to the tail light I mention in the video.
