Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Rod Vault 4 rooftop fly rod carrier. So this is the four rod carrier, but it also comes in a two rod carrier configuration as well. So depending on how many rods you have, how many friends you got that have rods too, we're going to be able to pick between two and four to get that equipment to your spot. So I go fly fishing quite often actually and one of the biggest hiccups is the fact that I have to find a place to store them. They're extremely long rods. So with the long carrier, it makes it really, really easy. I don't have to break them down over time and that just takes a lot of time out of my fishing. So I want to go fishing. This is going to allow you to put them up in there and not have to break them down so you can get to the site a lot quicker. The nice thing about it is, too, I'm using a after-market roof bar now, but if you have the OEM bars, it's going to fit. The Aero bars, square bars, round bars, any type of bar you may have, we have multiple different hardware that we can choose from for it to fit those different style bars. Another thing I like about it is it's lockable. So I have nice rods and I like to keep them that way and I like to keep them, so this way we can lock it all in with the contents of the little box here. Once you do that, press that and it folds right up and the safe of this little door here allows it to completely come up, and I like that.We have a little rubber piece here. It's got a magnet on this side, so let's just going to kind of hold all your rods in there and pretty much the reel, we need to make sure it's a diameter of four and a quarter inches or less for it to fit in here. But as you can see, I don't have to break down my rods at all. I can take out this big old guy by myself and then I can go on and go fishing. So all in all, definitely helps with the speed of things. If you're one that likes to go fishing a lot, but doesn't have a lot of time, might as well get something like this just to make it a little bit quicker so you can go fishing a little bit longer. All in all, I would definitely use it, but one thing we need to think about, a lot of the saltwater fishing rods, they're not going to fit in here. You can see how small the diameter of that tube is and that's going to give us a little bit of trouble whenever we have a little bit thicker rods. But again, this is pretty much just for fly fishing rods. So if you're a fly fishermen like me, I would definitely recommend it. Fresh out of the box, when I was assembling this thing, I realized all the plastic that is on the carrier itself is extremely high end plastic. It is going to be nice and treated. So it's not just your average plastic. It's extremely thick, has a lot of structure to it. So it's going to be really, really strong and keep everything nice and sealed up and divided. One thing I really like about it is it is mostly made of anodized aluminum. All the silver parts that you see here is all aluminum, so it's not going to rust away over time, so you can keep it up onto your roof. So you don't have to remove it every single time and worry about it rusting away. So that is awesome.I love the hinges. It's just one big hinge. I like that just because they don't get tweaked over time if there's just two on here. It's just a little bit less material that will eventually start to kind of warp and bend and stuff. But I'm not seeing that being an issue at all. The nice thing about it is, too, the inside of the rods isn't going to be aluminum. The little tubes that we put our rods in are going to have a polypropylene lining. So it's going to prevent any type of scratches or anything like that, so you don't have to worry about your rods getting all scratched up. And just the dividers that we have in here, it just keeps the rods nice and separate. I really like that. And of course, just this little extra straps just to kind of keep everything nice and in order. As far as dimensions go, we are going to have a depth of about 15 inches. From here to here is going to be the deepest part of the whole entire carrier, and then the height of this is going to be about eight inches and we're going to have an overall length of about 128 inches, which is a lot. So it's going to be great for your 10 foot rods and anything smaller than that. One issue that we did run into, as you can see up h
