6-Blade Scimitar E-Prop on the Parajet Moster 185 - Initial Impressions

The 6 bladed 130CM Helices Eprop propeller looks SO amazing we had to try one out! For the Moster, any 6 blade e-prop above 115CM in total length dictates a 2.86 reduction ratio (the standard on most Moster engines is 2.68), so we had to first change out the upper and lower pulleys to conform to a 2.86 reduction (about $250 in parts and 20 minutes of wrenching). E-props includes everything needed (new longer prop bolts, metals spacers, and color coded stickers at the root of each blade that help pair and line up each blade correctly for proper balance, this was a really nice touch! Thrust: We found it to be somewhere between a 2-blade 125CM and the three blade 130 CM (which produced in our tests 15lbs more thrust than the stock 125CM 2 blade). Well get some empirical thrust table numbers as soon as we can! Torque: Higher than the two-blade 125CM, but very similar to 3-blade 130CM. Sound: Quietest prop we have every used on the Moster! This is is part due to the higher reduction ratio also. Even observers on the ground remarked at how quit the prop was. Vibration: WOW! This is where this prop really stands out, there is ZERO vibration, making the paramotor feel more like a jet powered machine than a propeller powered machine! The blades and weight of the prop also dampen out any engine vibrations, a truly pleasant flying experience! Spool Time: It spools up and down slower than 2 or 3 blade props because of it higher weight, so not ideal for snappy slalom or acro flying. But this is actually a great feature for everyday or cross country pilots who appreciate smooth power transitions during launch and normal flying. Aesthetics: It's obviously a beautiful work of art! Price: At $950, it's not the best prop for beginner pilots or pilots on a tighter budget, but single blades can be replaced for $160 each. Overall: Fantastic propeller for the cross country pilot looking for the ultimate smooth ride, higher than standard prop thrust and having a real piece of eye candy!
