Why I Joined The Merchant Navy !!! Shore Leave, Free Travel & Exploring The World. Welcome back to another Life At Sea episode. In this vlog, I will be showing you a very rare occasion where I got a shore leave in Algeciras, Spain. It was a beautiful short trip with many many embarrassing moments & great memories. I managed to VLOG most of it & had fun doing so. Merchant Navy does offer some great perks but after the COVID-19 strict regulations, shore leave is a far-fetched thought. Not to forget the ISPS regulations which has made entering & exiting a port extremely difficult. Nevertheless this is a very big Pro of this sailing profession & I am happy with whatever I got.
