Perhaps best known as Apollo in STAR TREK’S “Who Mourns for Adonais?” 6’3” veteran character actor Michael Forest made plenty of westerns during TV’s heyday of the genre. He made 5 appearances on CHEYENNE with his good friend and workout buddy, Clint Walker, 3 guest spots on GUNSMOKE and went to Lone Pine, California, for an appearance with Richard Boone on HAVE GUN, WILL TRAVEL. Michael has over 300 titles in his resume including 3 guest spots on MAVERICK, 6 on THE ALASKANS, 4 on LARAMIE, 2 on BAT MASTERSON, plus memorable roles on ZORRO, ZANE GREY THEATRE, YANCY DERRINGER, LAWMAN, 26 MEN, THE RIFLEMAN, BRONCO, DEATH VALLEY DAYS, THE TALL MAN, WAGON TRAIN, TALES OF WELLS FARGO, RAWHIDE and dozens of non-westerns, including his role as Laura Petrie’s old boyfriend (now a priest) on THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW. Perhaps, Michael’s most famous part is his portrayal of Appolo in the classic STAR TREK episode, “Who Mourns for Adonais?”.
