More watch reviews and industry news at https://atelierdegriff.com Support us at https://shop.atelierdegriff.com Today we have a look at the Mido Ocean Star Decompression Timer 1961 LE mark II. This Rainbow diver by Mido has received a lot of hype. Let’s have a look in this hands-on why that might be the case and if it is indeed worthy of all the hype! The stainless steel case is polished and has a 40.5mm diameter and is approximately 13.4mm thick. Lug to lug comes in at about 47mm. As this is a diver watch, you will notice the unidirectional bezel with its turquoise aluminium insert. Notice the unusual 60-minute countdown bezel. You also have a screw-down crown and case back, resulting in a 200m water resistance. Floating above the dial is a box-shaped sapphire crystal. Below the crystal you are greeted by a silvered white dial and a colorful decompression scale. Notice also the applied & polished indices and logo. This being a dive watch, you should of course expect lume. Powering the watch is Mido’s caliber 80, essentially a decorated ETA movement. An automatic movement, with a very comfortable 80-hour power reserve. It shows hours, minutes, seconds, and date. The watch ships on a stainless steel bracelet and comes with 2 additional straps, one fabric strap and another leather strap. #mido #atelierdegriff 0:00 Introduction 0:44 Essential Details 1:55 The Good Stuff 2:54 The Fun Stuff 3:33 The Odd Stuff 4:37 On The Wrist 5:16 Conclusion
