This 1956 Dodge Coronet Golden Lancer is one of a very few known manufactured with the ultra-rare D500 four barreled 315CI/260 horsepower Hemi. The Golden Lancer was a special edition Custom Royal that was available in California only. It came specially equipped with custom two-tone paint, unique Gold trim, special badging, and exclusive interior accents including dash and upholstery and other unique features. This one-of-a-kind Lancer has recently had a nut and bolt restoration. Certainly a potential museum piece, this numbers matching fine automobile has all of its original sheet metal and drivetrain. With production numbers originally slated for 100, actual production was closer to 50. From the Magic-Touch push button transmission to the "break away" power of the Super Red Ram V8 motor; the first of the finned American cars set the tone for the Forward Look styling of the late 1950's.
