A gorgeous day for dinghy sailing! Nothing planed but to just go out and have some fun! The forecast was good and I didn't want to miss the chance of another great spring sailing session! The wind was around 7 to 10kts sustained with the occasional gust to maybe 15kts. This is perfect to have some fun with a full sail on my skiff, anymore than 9-10kts and I would need a reef on. Decided to go sailing with no predetermined heading, just go where the wind would take me and I ended up on a little beach by the Airforce base, on the north side of the Tagus estuary. Had never been here or even seen it. High tides here range from 2.6m to 4.3m and I suspect this little beach will not be visible on any tide over 3.6m. On the way back I decided to stop and have a beer at Rosário beach before heading back home under some really good wind. Although I must admit I was getting tired by then!
