Cooper") hijacked a Boeing 727 aircraft between Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington. Cooper claimed to have a bomb and demanded $200,000 in ransom and four parachutes. After receiving the ransom money and parachutes, he ordered the plane to take off again, directing it towards Mexico City. During the flight, Cooper parachuted out of the plane somewhere over the rugged wilderness of the Pacific Northwest. Despite extensive searches by law enforcement and the FBI, Cooper's identity and fate remain unknown. The D.B. Cooper case remains one of the most enduring mysteries in American criminal history. The Max Headroom signal hijacking incident occurred on November 22, 1987, in Chicago, Illinois. During a broadcast of the "Doctor Who" episode "Horror of Fang Rock" on WTTW-TV, an unknown individual hijacked the television signal for about 90 seconds. The hijacker wore a Max Headroom mask and costume and spoke in a distorted voice while engaging in strange and disturbing behavior. The hijacking was a high-profile event that received widespread media attention and sparked an investigation by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and law enforcement agencies.
