40W SLO-inspired tube amp (DIY) - first test

recently finished this build of a soldano SLO clone [credit: wiring layout by robrobinette.com] this is a clone of the overdrive/lead channel of the soldano SLO preamp with a 40W power amp section (2 x 6L6GC) demo here is simply going through the gain/preamp control, dialing from roughly 9o’clock - up to 2 o’clock. (other controls are just set where i like them) [my usual preference is to use this amp with a drive pedal, but for the purposes of the demo, it isn’t switched on] also used: ibanez RG550 w/ dimarzio titan ‘power soak’ power attenuator mesa cab a terrible old iphone 6s to record video and sound [update: cabinet built in Dec2021, following the circuit completion/original upload in Mar2021]
