Recorded entirely with a SiOnyx Aurora lowlight camera. The intent of this video is to demonstrate the setting/s at which the scene rendered by the aurora, at the given luminance levels, appear optimized. From my perspective, the aurora rendered the best scene detail at 15fps with the exposure compensation at -1.0. The footage through the PVS-14 is included as reference/control for those familiar with image intensified systems. That content was not intended as a comparison of technologies nor as 'versus' content. ------------------------------------------- Visible Lunar Disk Illumination 47.9% 🌗 and ☁️☁️. Slight artificial skyglow 💡 from urban sprawl, which lies some 3 miles to the west (right side) of the footage.
