Hey guys, I'm glad to invite another friend from the north on the channel : Olli Soikkeli, born in Finland, but who was living in NYC these last few years. He's one of the members of the American gypsy jazz band called Rhythm Future Quartet. We met in the Django festival of Samois sur Seine about 12 years ago when jamming at the AJL showroom. He's decided to come visit a month in Paris and we took some time to enjoy some music on these nice vintage arch tops he likes. We've played another standard on his YouTube channel, just click on the image at the end of this video to be redirected. Olli is playing a 1934 Gibson L5 16 inches (parallele braced, strung with THomastik Spectrum Bronze gauge 12), and I'm playing a 17 inches "Advanced" L5 from 1936 (X braced, strung with Thomastik Benson nickel strings round wound gauge 12). The sound is captured by both a Neumann TLM 103 and a Bluebird microphone.
