An Ant-Proof Hive Stand?

Ants were getting to my beehives on a daily basis, so decided to make a new Hive Stand based upon a fellow beekeepers stand he found the plans for online. My stand measures 6ft x 2 ft. about 18 inches from the ground. My stand will accommodate upto 3 , possibly 4 hives. You can lengthen the stand and add more legs and PVC caps to hold more hives, probably up to 7-8 hives per 8 or 9 ft length stand. Materials: 4 - 2x4x8 stud lumber 4 - 3/4 x 10 inch Galvanized threaded Pipe pieces 4 - 3/4 inch pipe flanges 4 - 4 inch PVC Caps 4 - 3/4 x 1 inch PVC adapters (feet for the legs) 4 - 3/4 inch split Ring Hangers (hold PVC Cap in place on 3/4 pipe) 1 - small can of High Temp Automotive Grease 8 x 3" Deck Screws 4 - 4x4 blocks (optional) Wood treated with 2 good coats of Thompsons' Water Seal I think this will work very good at keeping the ants away, the only way they can get to the hives is by going up the legs until....
