Project Submarine Mk II It's been almost four years since I built my first generation submarine so it's time to upgrade the design and make it better. My Mk II sub features a new sexier design that resembles a spaceship, dual horizontal thrusters that control the sub's forward/backward motion and turning, and dual vertical thrusters used to control the sub's pitch angle. The ballast weights sit in a much lower position than in Mk I, with some weights sitting in the sealed compartment of the sub, and some in a central "spine" situated on its underside, to achieve a low center of gravity for better stability.
