In the open world around Bikini Bottom, you have to complete short tasks, such as cleaning buildings for Sandy. You get money as a reward. Once you have collected enough money, you can complete the final quest. You can also use the money to unlock new costumes for Patrick. However, these tasks only feel like side tasks from other games. I would have preferred larger main story missions. They could also have made the open world bigger. As it is, you can play through the game in just a few hours. So there could have been a bit more everywhere.
