‘Madurai’ remained awake the whole night to witness the beautiful sight of Lord Kallazhagar’s entry into the Vaigai River during the Chithirai festival on April 23. Lakhs of devotees gathered to witness the sight filled with joy and devotion. Adorned in traditional green silk, the deity’s presence brought a sense of unity and prosperity to the region. With chants of ‘Govinda, Govinda!’ echoing, devotees gathered along the AV Bridge and Vaigai river banks, witnessing the sacred event with reverence. Following the ceremonial entry, special pujas were performed, marking a significant moment in the festivities.
