He began to teach in his neighborhood Santa María. He went through various academies and teachers until Cristina Hoyos discovered him in a contest. He worked in the Andalusian Flamenco Ballet, as the first dancer and choreographer. Among other merits, he was nominated for the Max Theater Awards together with Antonio Canales and Rafael Amargo. His height gives him a special elegance to his dance. This is the reason that he earned the nickname El Junco.
