Montessori - Pink Series

The Montessori Pink Series is a set of language object boxes where all of the objects represent a CVC word and have a matching index card. Pink series words are made up of three letters, a consonant, a vowel, and another consonant (c_v_c). Every single vowel in this case is a short sounding vowel such as "a" in "bat." Over the years this system has worked exceedingly well in Montessori classrooms around the world and although many of us can see the results, few understand the mechanics behind this system and how it relates to the developing brain.
