Why, none other then Stone VIRTUALE IPA. Stone VIRTUALE IPA clocks in at 7.7% ABV and is the latest iteration of the Stone family of IPAs. This beer is described by Stone as follows: "Escape into another world as you experience the intensity from this unique West-Coast IPA. Innovative engineering featuring a proprietary process paved the way for this collaboration—triggering big citrus notes of tropical fruit while 1-upping the dank, resin qualities of Citra & Mosaic. The future is right in front of us. So before putting on your headset, fill your glass and enjoy this blockbuster." Right? Anyway, enough prose, enjoy the video. My written review and report card of Stone VIRTUALE IPA follows: Stone VIRTUALE IPA WRITTEN REVIEW: A- Stone VIRTUALE IPA pours a hazy amber with a 1.5 finger of tan head capping the beer. This head some spotty lacing and alcohol legs abound, of course at 9.4% ABV. S- IN YOUR FACE as soon as you pop the top with orange, pine, grapefruit, tropical fruit and dank pine resinous aromas. Smells super hoppy with some sweet malt in the back ground to round out the nose. NO alcohol aroma at all is detected. T- Follows the nose. Citrus zest, resinous pine and grapefruit hit you up front and once this subsides tropical fruits and herbal hop flavors rush in with the tidal wave of surprisingly mild dank bitterness. The malt flavors manages to balance off the dank bitterness. No alcohol taste is detected and the finish is dry, dank and not all that bitter. M- Medium-bodied and smoothly carbonated. This beer is SUPER easy to drink. At 7.7% ABV Stone VIRTUALE IPA is very dangerous in a good way. O- Stone VIRTUALE IPA is another well done DIPA by Stone. My favorite part about it is the RICH hop flavor that supported by strong enough malt bill to reign in the IBUs and bring balance and extremely drinkability to the party.
