Hunting ducks on public land is never easy after a long warm spell and that's exactly what we had up here in Minnesota the last few days. I've found though that when early season ducks get stale you can often find them in tucked away hidden holes that other hunters might've looked over. Luke and I headed out for a no-scout afternoon hunt in hopes that a little slough tucked into the middle of a cattail marsh might be holding some of those stale birds. The afternoon flight ended up being way better than expected and we were able to pick up a mixed bag of mallards, teal, and gadwall for Leroy to retrieve! Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy!
