Macadamias are the world’s hardest nut to crack, but the effort is certainly worth it. In this video we show you three ways to crack a macadamia nut that isn't a hammer or a rock! Firstly find the white dot on the base of the nut. It’s the ideal spot for the perfect crack as it is known as the weakest spot. 1. TJ’s nut cracker Align the white dot with the front of the cracker Pull the lever all the way down 2. A screw nut cracker Place the white dot in line with the screw Hold firmly and wind the screw until the shell cracks 3. Mortar and pestle Balance the nut in the centre with the white dot facing up Strike the nut firmly with the pestle until it cracks All these methods take a little practice but it's guaranteed fun not to mention delicious.
