Start of the walk at 11:00 AM May in Thailand - low season, strong waves and low tides during the day. The best season in Thailand is December - March. Koh Larn is a wonderful little island located in the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Larn is situated about 7km off the coast of Pattaya Beach The Island is about 4.5km long and 2km wide and about 180 meters at the highest point. The terrain is mostly mountainous which is covered in most part with heavy vegetation. From Pattaya to Koh Lan can be reached by ferry for 30 baht ($1). We will walk through the village of Na Baan, which is next to the pier, see the Buddhist monastery Wat Mai Samraan and walk along the Tawaen Beach and Hat Sangwan Beach. It is now May and it is the low season, few tourists and high tides during the day. Therefore, the sea is not the most beautiful. On the Hat Sangwan Beach, the water has gone heavily and close to the colony of sea urchins.
