Camp San Carlos 1873 - 1900 Jan 2020 - From Globe to San Carlos Reservoir. I was surprised to find a memorial, and that it was very nice. Unfortunately there is evidence of alcohol use everywhere. This stop is part of my 3 day 2 night "fort loop" from Tonto Basin. Through Tonto Basin to Globe and the 70 south into San Carlos. Down the 70 further south to "Red Knolls" and Klondyke Rd. Taking Klondyke SW through a pass north of Mount Graham to Bonita Aravaipa Rd, then connecting with Fort Grant Road into Wilcox. From there to Benson then north on N Casabel Rd to Mammoth. From Mammoth north to Winkelman, up the 77 past Christmas, and finally back to Globe.
