Jake Harvath is a long-distance rider from Heber City, Utah. He is the founder of the Year of the Mustang project. A six thousand-mile horseback journey that has taken Harvath and his mustangs from Utah to the Atlantic coast. Now they are headed west, with plans to pass through twenty-five states. Jake’s mission is to show the usefulness and versatility of mustangs as working horses and to educate the public about the need for adoption. A trainer and farrier by trade, Jake is applying the skills he’s obtained in life to the challenging journey. While his horses; Denver and Eddy are showing the world the qualities that mustangs possess. Jake found a voice by documenting his journey on YouTube and social media.
