Ok, yet ANOTHER montage set to All These Things That I've Done (the entire track even - 4+ minutes!). The good news? This one is really, really good, and in example of smart editing on an opening - nice job, Shepherd! Will this track ever be overplayed? Probably, but it's good enough that so far it hasn't yet overstayed its welcome. Key rules to editing? 1 - Follow the music's pace intimately, and repeat things only when there are repetitive parts to the music. Match the dynamic shots and fast cuts with appropriate sections. 2 - Tie things together during the chorus/refrains, and change the pace up during the bridge. 3 - Don't start the talking heads right away. 4 - Talking head voiceovers can be split between the actual talking head sequences and the montage shots to speed up the cuts and keep it moving. 5 - Anything with a Bosun's Whistle is gold with any Navy topic. 6 - DO NOT INTERPRET THE LYRICS LITERALLY. Also, had to clean up the garbage version PBS uploaded. For shame. Here it is in high quality.
